We specialize in assessing, training, and placing individuals in jobs and functional engagement activities that align with their abilities and interests. Role Description
We are seeking a Qualified Professional to join our team on-site in North Wilkesboro, NC. This is a full-time role that involves working closely with individuals with disabilities to assess their needs and develop plans to achieve their identified individualized goals. The Qualified Professional should demonstrate a thorough knowledge of concepts, practices and techniques of the field of intellectual and other developmental disabilities This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong attention to detail. Experience is coordinating professionals and direct support professionals in the development, implementation, and evaluation of person-centered services is a necessity.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1) Communication Skills: Posses’ effective communication skills. An active listener evaluates feedback and gives feedback to others while demonstrating empathy and respectfulness.
2) Problem Solving: Identifying a problem, the cause of the problem, prioritizing the need of the problem, selecting the alternatives for a solution, consideration for compromise and implementation of a solution.
3) Teamwork: Being able to work effectively, efficiently, and contributing to a group toward a common goal for enhancement.
4) Working Knowledge: Demonstrating the understanding and ability needed to complete, learn, and execute all policies, procedures, and basic tasks accurately, effectively and timely. Comprehension of service definitions WVS provides.
5) Organizational Skills: Effectively manage time and prioritize tasks, set goals and develop systems to achieve identified goals. Multitask responsibilities simultaneously, stay focused on deadlines, and manage complex projects efficiently.
6) Quality: Demonstrates the ability to meet deadlines, meets completion expectations and presents accurate information. Desires, strives, and monitors overall improvement and promotes quality of the overall program.
7) Reliability: Trustworthy and can be depended on by WVS. Demonstrates professionalism and approaches work including tasks with a positive attitude. Consistently demonstrates the ability to complete high quality work promptly.
8) Self-Initiator: Posses’ the ability to do what needs to be done without being prompted by others or the willingness to take a fresh approach. Identifying the advantages of opportunities that others pass by.
